Skids is always a difficult one. He's not strictly "bad" per se, but he is very dependent on your card pool. If you play with just the Core set, you could be forgiven for thinking he feels underpowered. With a fuller collection he can actually be quite fun to play and definitely serviceable, but sadly there is then the added problem that he is overshadowed in many aspects by other rogues that have been released in later cycles. (e.g. Tony is a better fighting rogue, Finn is a better investigating/evading rogue, Jenny is a better all-rounder, etc.)
Very detailed and interesting imput from everyone. I think Skids is a weird investigator. Agility 4 and Combat 3 but access to Guardian Cards… Add that to his signature card, I have a hard time figuring out what to do with him. It could be easy to missplay him I believe, or not making right decisions when upgrading cards.
Ornate Bow was great with Rita. Conveniently, it's 3 damage, which is perfect for Hoods.
The question of when to pump money into Skids for more actions is an interesting one. But the fact that he has a built in weak version of Borrowed Time adds a ton of decisions.
