In fact, you don’t need to see them.” – It’s the newest feature in iOS 11 called ‘Do Not Disturb While Driving’. Apple has introduced so many new features in their iOS 11. iOS 11 Feature: What’s ‘Do Not Disturb While Driving’

There are so many new great features in the iOS 11. Check out the Top new features of iOS 11 here >. One of the highlighted new features is the ‘Do Not Disturb While Driving’. When the feature is active, and the iPhone is aware that you’re in a car by connecting to a vehicle’s USB connection or Bluetooth, it will actuate the feature automatically. When enabled, messages sent won’t be displayed to the driver, and the phone can automatically notify people that you’re on the road.

Any restriction disallowing use of a feature of the device, and ultimately, the proper use of the tool in the first place, is solely up to the operator. Apple notes that even if not connected to a car, it can detect that the car is moving, and enable the feature accordingly. Regardless, CarPlay functionality stays live. Navigation and music playback still work.

The feature obeys parameters that users apply to regular “Do Not Disturb” mode. Users on the “favorite” contacts list can still break through. Parents concerned about a child disabling the feature can prevent changes to the setting in the Restrictions menu.

So what if you are a Passenger in the Car?

No Worries! Passengers have the ability to dismiss the warning, by tapping the “I’m not driving” button that pops up when the warning comes up.

An AppleInside’r has already tried this and shared this views. You can customize the Toggle in your Control Center in iOS 11. The best way to enable this feature is to move the toggle to the Control Center in the Settings menu. To turn at the feature, invoke the Control Center, and tap on the button. When the feature is enabled, the button will turn green. Restrictions kick in when CarPlay is connected, or the phone senses that it is moving, and you’re supposed to get a notification that the feature is working.

iOS 11 has so many new things, Blazingly fast animations, New Control Center, Unified Notification system, Drag & Drop for iPad, Person to Person Pay in iMessage via Apple Pay, new iMessage Effects, and so many new things. If you have not installed the iOS 11 beta yet, you are missing a lot of new things. Install iOS 11 beta now on your iPhone/iPad and enjoy all the new features before everyone gets’s it on this Fall/ End of this year.

Incoming notifications were not displayed on the iOS 11 device with “Do Not Disturb When Driving” activated, as promised. But, we never received any initial indication that they were being blocked, nor did we get the dialog to allow a passenger to still get them. We expect that the rough edges in the feature will be sanded down by the time that iOS 11 ships in the fall. So enjoy iOS 11 and it’s all features. You will love it. All the new changes and tiny little changes are just amazing. iOS 11 is still in beta so there might be bugs but as days goes by and a new beta version comes out, things will change, improve and more new features are coming in iOS 11 beta 2. Stay tuned for more updates and if you have not registered your iPhone/iPad/Mac udid to Apple Developer Program yet, then add your devices now to Apple Developer Program here > we have limited slots left only in our Apple Developer Program accounts.
