The team Pangu recently showed a working iOS 10.3.1 jailbreak during a conference in China. Maybe the jailbreak for iOS 10.3.1 is going to be released by Pangu next week. So it’s better to prepare your device for the jailbreak beforehand. There are few things that you need to do in order to prepare your iPhone to the iOS 10.3.1 Jailbreak. So let’s start with everything you need to know, how to prepare for the jailbreak and all.
Everything you need to know about Downgrade/Update to iOS 10.3.1
Apple is currently signing the iOS 10.3.1. You can check the signed ios status at here. You can update/downgrade as long as Apple is signing the firmware.
So you better do it now. It’s the best time to prepare for the jailbreak before Apple pushes a newer iOS update. If you want to upgrade to iOS 10.3.1 or downgrade. You won’t be able to update/downgrade when Apple stops signing the ios 10.3.1. Here is the how you can prepare your device for iOS 10.3.1 jailbreak whether it is iPhone or iPad.
How to Prepare iPhone for Pangu iOS 10.3.1 Jailbreak
These are some of the standard procedures that you should follow before jailbreaking your device or preparing it beforehand for an imminent jailbreak.
Backup your data using iTunes/iCloud
You should always backup your files and data via iTunes or iCloud. I will always recommend you to do it using iTunes. It’s more reliable and faster process than anything other backup systems. Even you can later restore your data anytime you want. You can also extract your iTunes backup using other apps. See this youtube video on this link> if you need to extract your iTunes backup files. To back your data using iTunes, just connect your idevice to your computer and open up iTunes. And click on Backup and let it do its work.
Saving SHSH2 Blobs for iOS 10.3.1
If you have saved any shsh2 blobs of your device then it will allow you to downgrade your iPhone or iPad back to that iOS version. We have a step by step guideline on how you can save your shsh2 of your iPhone iPad >
Once you have saved your shsh2 blobs for your device, store them in your pc or hard drive or somewhere online, as will need them later on in future. It will help you to downgrade your device. You don’t need to be in iOS 10.3.1 in order to save your shsh2 blobs. You can do it right now also as Apple is still signing the iOS 10.3.1 firmware.
Install iOS 10.3.1
The latest version of iPhone firmware is iOS 10.3.1. But iOS 10.3.2 may be on its way to being released to masses. If your device is running an iOS version older than iOS 10.3.1 and you want to try the upcoming jailbreak, then upgrade it to iOS 10.3.1right away. Apple is going to stop signing iOS 10.3.1 as soon as a newer version is released and after that, you won’t be able to install iOS 10.3.1 and there won’t be a jailbreak for you. If you have your device is on iOS 10.2 or below and your device is jailbroken then stay on it until the jailbreak of iOS 10.3.1 released.
While you can update to iOS 10.3.1 using OTA update features, it’s highly advised to start fresh whenever you wanna jailbreak your device. But before that, make sure to take a backup of yours data as shown above. Here is the right guide for installing iOS:
