Apple working on autonomous systems to change ‘the future of transportation’

Weare already aware of the Project Titan, since last year we have posted updates about the project titan, Apple has never directly confirmed reports last year that it was hiring automotive industry engineers and designers to develop a driverless electric car, or that those efforts have been sharply scaled back this year. But now Apple confirms their work on autonomous systems to transform ‘the future of transportation’. They are working on self-driven cars.

A letter written by Apple’s director of product integrity Steve Kenner, the company comments on the recently announced plan from the U.S. Department of Transportation to ensure that there’s a safe deployment of ” highly automated vehicles.”

In the letter, Apple explains that it uses machine learning in a variety of different aspects, including with transportation technology.

Apple uses machine learning to make its products and services smarter, more intuitive, and more personal. The company is investing heavily in the study of machine learning and automation, and is excited about the potential of automated systems in many areas, including transportation.
