As expected, the iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, and Apple Watch Series 2 are now available to pre-order via Apple’s Online Store. The store went down earlier tonight in preparation for the launch, while the new devices will be available in Apple retail locations next Friday, September 16th. Shipping times are slipping across the board. Most black and jet black iPhones are now at 2-3 and 4-6 weeks shipping, respectively.
In addition to the Apple Online Store, the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are available to preorder from carriers, as well. T-Mobile is offering a free iPhone 7 to anyone who trades in an iPhone 6 or iPhone 6s. Sprint has matched that deal, while it is also offering the 256GB iPhone for $100 off.
Apple yesterday seeded iOS 10 GM for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch to developers. While installing the update, developers were able to also get the full release notes of iOS 10, which provides details about all the new features and improvements.
Golden Master is the final build of iOS 10 before the software is publicly released and usually, has the same build number as the one that is pre-installed on the new iPhones. Developers will be able to use it to submit their iOS 10 compatible apps to the App Store. Since iOS 10 GM is the final build, it is safe to say that this is the official iOS 10 release notes when it will be released to the public next week. Apple has announced that iOS 10 will be released on September 13. If you want to install the iOS 10 GM edition then you must register your iPhone/iPad to an Apple Developer Account >
