How-To: Jailbreak iPhone iPad on iOS 9.3.3 with the English version of Pangu

Written by
Pangu has released an English version of its jailbreak for iOS 9.2 – iOS 9.3.3 which uses Cydia Impactor to sideload an IPA onto your device.

Cydia Impactor runs on Mac, Windows, and Linux and lets you use your Apple ID to sideload the app used to jailbreak on to your device.

Unfortunately, if you don’t have a developer account, the app needs to be resigned every seven days. If you do have a developer account the app will be signed for one year.

Pangu says:

The certificate will expire in 7 days. If your certificate gets expired, you need to follow the guide to install the jailbreak IPA again. If you have enrolled the Apple developer membership, signing the IPA file with your own developer certification is a better choice (i.e., Pangu jailbreak app will get expired in 1 year, rather than 7 days).
We’ll be posting detailed instructions on how to jailbreak using this method shortly. However, if you don’t have a developer account using the Chinese PP app to jailbreak may be better choice.

How to Jailbreak iPhone,iPad on iOS 9.2-9.3.3 using Pangu (English Version)
Step 1: Download the Pangu app (NvwaStone_1.0.ipa) from pangu.io

Step 2: Download the version of Cydia Impactor that works with your desktop operating system.

Step 3: Connect you iPhone to your computer.

Step 4: Run the Cydia Impactor tool, ensure that it sees your iOS device, and drop the Pangu.ipa (NvwaStone_1.0.ipa) file on the Cydia Impactor tool.

Step 5: Click the OK button on the Apple Developer Warning box that appears.

Step 6: When requested, enter your Apple ID email address and password. If this is a regular non-developer Apple ID, then the Pangu app will be available to run for a maximum of 7 days. Paid Apple developers have access to the app for a full year.

Step 7: The Pangu app will now appear on your iOS device, but you’ll need to go to Settings → General → Device Management, tap the Developer App email address associated with your Apple ID, and tap Trust twice to enable the app to run.

Step 8: Go back to the Home screen, launch the Pangu app on your iOS device, and tap OK when it asks for access to Notifications.

Step 9: Tap Start on the Pangu app and lock your device when prompted. You should receive a notification, followed by a respring.

Step 10: Once the respring is completed, unlock your device, and you will see Cydia on your Home screen.

Since this is a semi-tethered jailbreak, you’ll have to run the Pangu app again on your device to re-enable the jailbreak after every reboot.
