21.5-inch iMac with 4K display may get launch by October 13

This year i already got a new iMac, now i guess it’s time for another new one. While Apple hasn’t made a 21.5-inch iMac with a 4K display official by any means, the Rumor Mill refuses to give up hope.

As early as late July, and cropping up again in August, references to the unannounced and unofficial 21.5-inch 4K iMac have been popping up quite a bit, even in beta releases for OS X El Capitan. Then, a report published in early September suggested that Apple would launch the new desktop computer sometime in October.

Now, according to sources speaking to 9to5Mac, Apple is gearing up to announce and launch the 21.5-inch 4K iMac as early as next week. According to the information, Apple will have units go up for sale in retail stores beginning Tuesday, October 13. However, Apple is apparently waiting to really gear up manufacturing of the desktop until early November, so quantities could be limited out of the gate.

The new 4K computers will look like the non-4K 21.5-inch iMac, and the report indicates that the new machines will be pre-loaded with OS X El Capitan, which isn’t that big of a surprise considering they’re launching after the desktop operating system’s official release.

Also unsurprising: The pricing for the 4K-equipped 21.5-inch iMac will more than likely be a bit higher than the non-4K model.

If Apple launches a 21.5-inch iMac with a 4K display next week, will you be buying one?
