Apple reportedly using BMW’s i3 as basis for its electric Apple Car

Written by

Project Titan, as it’s called now, is one of Apple’s underground projects right now, with very little hard information to go on when it comes to the “Apple Car.” No one is actually fully 100% sure that is Apple actually making a car or not ? Based on the rumors and solid information we have found & sharing the information with you on this article. Project Titan is mostly likely to be the project of Apple’s Car.

A new report has surfaced, though, from a German publication known as Manager Magazin within its July issue, that suggests Apple’s CEO, Tim Cook, and other key executives from Apple recently met with BMW in Leipzig, Germany, to visit the carmaker’s production lines. Specifically, the report indicates that Apple went to look at the BMW i3’s lines, as the company is allegedly interested in the carbon fiber body.

For what it’s worth, the BMW i3 is an electric car that reaches about 80 miles on a charge, and there’s a gas-based system to extend the mileage on the vehicle when the charge runs up. It’s been received well enough by those that weigh matters such as that, but, as 9to5Mac points out, it’s not nearly in the same league as the Tesla Model S, which can reach up to 300 miles on a charge.

The report also indicates that Apple has been in talks with BMW since late-2014. An earlier report from the year suggested that Apple was aiming to start production of its vehicle in 2020.
