The smartwatch will also come with Apple’s widely praised VoiceOver functionality — a screenreader that is already present in OS X and iOS — with support for 14 languages. Other accessibility features include interface zoom, grayscale mode, the ability to reduce motion and transparency and switching labels.
In addition, Apple is also including an option to increase the font size of the Watch, and a watch face with extra-large fonts to aid usability for visually impaired users.
For users with impaired hearing, Apple is including an option in the Watch that will allow it to send audio only to a single ear. There is also a “Prominent Haptic” option present in the smartwatch that will allow impaired users to configure the Taptic Engine for pre-announcing common alerts.
