Out-of-warranty repairs for iPhone 6 runs up to $299, iPhone 6 Plus up to $399

The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus have been on sale for barely a blink of an eye, but Apple has gone ahead and updated their “Other Repair” section of the website to reflect out-of-warranty pricing if you need a repair.

The out-of-warranty costs for the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus have been added to Apple’s warranty/repair section of their website, following the launch of the two new flagship handsets. As is par for the course, the pricing is set between two different areas: screen replacement and general repairs. The screen replacement is generally cheaper than the overall repairs, with every model, excluding the iPhone 6, costing $129. The smaller iPhone 6 variant can get its display replaced for $109.
As far as general repair pricing goes, it will cost $329 for the iPhone 6 Plus, and $299 for out-of-warranty repairs for the iPhone 6.

AppleCare+ is the easiest (and cheapest) way to protect your wallet if you do happen to accidentally break your device, and if it’s not covered by the standard one-year warranty right out of the box:

“AppleCare+ covers two incidents of accidental damage each with a $79 service fee. You can also use our Express Replacement Service to get a replacement even before sending us your iPhone.“
