Written by

This post is to teach you guys about how to update / restore your iPhone, ipad,iPod manually to any ios version. This is a very simple process and works perfectly and even better than the itunes automatic update. So lets get started.

Required things before you start –
1) Make Sure you have the latest Version of  itunes installed.
2) You need working internet connection on your computer.
3) Download the ios firmware for your respective device (example – ios 8.x file for iPhone)

Lets get started –

Step 1 – Connect your device to itunes on your computer.

Step 2 – Click on your device and go to the Summary menu in itunes.

Step 3 – Now hold the shift (windows) / option (Mac) key on your keyboard and click restore/Check for updates in itunes.

Step 4 – Now you will see a window pop-up. Then navigate it to the IOS 8 ipsw file (which have downloaded) and click ok.

Step 5 – Now itunes will start restoring the device to the ios version.

Finsh !!!!
Its that simple guys. Hope it helps you. . I am also giving some links below from there you can download the ios versions for your respective device. Please download the correct ios ipsw files else itunes wont take your restore. For example, if your trying to restore an iPad mini, then please download the ios file for iPad mini. Do not download iPad ios for iPad. it wont work. You have to download the correct ipsw file for your correct device.

Note – This process works for all ios versions. And if you want to use ios 8 beta version then you have to register your UDID first to an Apple Developer Account. I am registering UDID to Apple Developer Account for $15 USD. Anyone interested can email me – iapplestuffs@gmail.com for UDID registration. or CLICK HERE to register your UDID to Apple Developer Account.

Links for downloads –

1) Download latest version itunes Click here
2) Download ios firmware files for your device – Click here
3) Download latest ios 8.x latest beta firmware files (Register UDID first) then – Click here to download ios8 beta.
4) Register your UDID – Click here

    I was running ios7.1 beta 2 but now I can't download beta 3 so I'm wondering what's going on?

  • Luis

You guys confirmed my registration so I'm confused now!

  • iapplestuffs

Appoe just released beta 3. May be the servers are down. If we have semt your confirmation that your udid was registered then you were running on ios 7.1 beta then you can simply update to ios 7.1b3 by going to settings>general>software update.

I've been part of you're program since my 4s & now I'm on my 5s I love it. I would like to know when will iOS 8 be available to download for us? I know it was released to developers today but I haven't been able to update nor an update appears on my phone. I just re-register my UDID yesterday as a friendly reminder that my previous subscription was up via email. One last thing would I need to restore my whole device like I did with my iPhone 4s when I first sign on to you guys?
