iCloud Status page shows Apple IOS activation server status now and Safe tips before you update / restore your ios device

This summer, Apple’s device activation servers folded under heavy load
(or perhaps server issues unbeknown to us) in at least two instances, first in July and again in the following month.
It’s not a problem until it’s a problem – there’s nothing worse than
wiping your device clean or restoring it from a backup only to be
greeted with the dreaded “Your iPhone could not be activated because the
activation server is temporarily unavailable” message.
the iCloud Status page
now provides the status of the iOS Device Activation servers your brand
spanking new iPhone, iPod touch or iPad talk to at first run.
At least we can now check the status of iTunes activation servers
before reinstalling iOS on our devices or restoring from a backup.

Safe tips before Update / Restore your IOS device :

1. Go to this site first –  http://www.apple.com/support/systemstatus/
2. See if you the ios  device activation  – if marked as green or not. If its green then your safe you update /’ restore your device. If not green then it means Apple Activation Server is busy.

This a picture of the page –

I really think this is a great new feature and really really helpful because sometimes even i got frusted when i was stuck in activation error. Or it says Apple Activation server is temporary unavailable. Ahh ! Now i can check it before i move to update.
